Jim Hutson was born in Willows and his family has farmed rice in Glenn County since 1924. Jim married his wife Nancy Hershkowitz in 1977 and raised four children: Monica, Jake, Corey and Evan. All are currently local to Willows. The pride of Jim's life are his 9 grandchildren, the oldest one being 10.
Jim began his Insurance career in 1986 with CalFarm. In 1998 he joined two partners to form Hawkins, Hutson & Nye Insurance. In 2011 it came time for each agency to go their separate ways. In 2012, Hutson Insurance Agency was reestablished with Jim and his two sons, Jake and Evan Hutson.
Jim was a Little League coach for 18 years, 4-H leader for 20 years. He was president of Willows High School Boosters for 4 years, President of Willows Hydro Jets for 2 years. If it had to do with children, Jim was involved.
Evan was raised in Willows with his three older siblings and graduated from Willows High School in 2006. He continued his education at Simpson University in Redding, CA where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, his career as an insurance agent started on June 1st 2011 when he moved back to Willows. He is currently involved in the Knights of Columbus and coaches for youth soccer and little league. He enjoys hunting, mountain biking, family vacations, sports and spending time with his family; Wife, Amanda, and sons, Connor and Cal.
Manuela "Manny" Marston
Manny was born and raised in Orland, attended Orland High School and then Butte College for general education. Manny recently joined Hutson Insurance Agency June, 2015 but feels right at home. She feels privileged to continue to serve Glenn County with this Agencies support and great reputation.
Prior to her work at Hutson Insurance Agency, Manny worked as an Insurance Agent for 30 years in Glenn County and enjoys an excellent relationship with her clients and families. Manny and her husband Forrest lived in Willows for 30 years and their son, James, graduated from Willows High School. After he moved to Orland and got married and started his family, it was obvious that they would return to Orland. Being Grandparents is their greatest joy in life. Manny also has a large family, which remained close knit and planted in Glenn County. Any person that graduated from Orland High between the years 1972 to 1986 were surly acquaintances with The Porras Family, 9 siblings total!
Manny in an active member of St Dominic Church and Altar Society. She is a previous member of St. Monica's Church and YLI as well as former Willows Little League board member and treasurer. She is a supporter of various Willows and Orland School bands, sports teams and 4-H. She strives to keep involved with youth in our communities.
Manny enjoys making trips to the coast and dunes as much as possible. She loves Christmas and listens to carols year round. She is a sports enthusiast, enjoys movies nights with her sisters, spending vacations with family, and cherished moments with her grandson. She looks forward to more grandkids and more spoiling!
Staci K. Buttermore

Local to Orland, Staci began working for Hutson Insurance Agency January of 2015. She graduated from Page High School in 1985 and continued her schooling at Coconino Community College for 2 years with an emphasis on business. Prior to her work at the agency, Staci worked for the Glenn County Farm Bureau for 12 years as their executive manager. She currently owns and operates a 30 acre Pistachio orchard and raises sheep, goats and beef cattle.
Staci was a past 4-H council president, past key leader of the Orland 4-H, project leader for the following: sheep, goat and beef as well as a 4-H leader for 10+ years. She is a proud supporter of the Orland FFA and has served as a director of the Glenn county fair since 2010.
She enjoys team penning, camping, snow skiing, and volunteering with various youth organizations. She loves farming and driving tractor. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She has four children- Kyle, Kortni, Kassidi and Kodi.
Local to Chico, Heather graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 2004 and continued her education at Feather River College where she received an AA in Liberal Studies in 2007. Heather joined the Agency in December, 2015. Prior to her work at the Agency, she worked as a director of an Infant Center as well as a childcare provider at the Kids in Motion childcare facility at In Motion Fitness in Chico.
She is involved in the community as the Vice President of Desperado Horse Club in Orland, Ca which is part of the California State Horsemans Association. She also helps at the local Gymkhanas. In her free time she enjoys riding and competing on her two horses, riding quads and going four-wheeling with her dad and two younger brothers. She lives on a ranch with nine horses which keeps her plenty busy.
Pam was born in Oregon and raised near Eureka, Ca. Pam has worked for over 15 years for Hutson Insurance Agency. Prior to working at the agency, she worked for CalFarm and G.M.A.C Research contracted by Pacific Bell. Pams' schooling included Arcata Union High School graduate and College of the Redwoods graduate. She is an active member in the Chico Gospel Hall and enjoys reading, writing poetry and traveling. Pam has been married to her husband, Steve, for the past 23 years. They have one son, Andrew. Pam also has a daughter, Wendy and three grandchildren: Payton, William and Courtney.
Born and raised in Willows, Jake graduated from Willows High School in '00 and then joined the Military. After serving in the Marine Corp, Jake moved to Oceanside where he attended San Diego Golf Academy where he received his AA in Business Management. He worked as an Assistant Superintendent at Oceanside Golf Course where he gave private golf lessons. For the past 8 years Jake has been working in Willows for the agency after he moved back in '07. He is very involved in the community as a volunteer Fire Fighter and Willows High School Golf Coach. He enjoys hunting, fishing, sports and spending time with his family; Wife, Kristina and daughters, Gabby and Danny.
Local to Willows, Terri graduated from Willows High School and worked as a Senior Teller at Bank of America before working for Hutson Insurance Agency. She has been with the agency for 8 years now and is very active in the community. She is a committee member for the Relay for Life of Willows and a Y.L.I (Young Ladies Institute) Member. She enjoys camping, reading and spending time with her friends and family; Husband, Jake Hancock, step daughter Tristin and daughters, Maddison and Kaitlyn.
Lisa was born and raised in Willows and graduated from Willows High School. Her schooling included Chico Beauty College from 2010- 2012. Lisa worked at Walmart before joining Hutson Insurance Agency in June, 2015. She is involved in the community and participates in Relay for Life. She enjoys camping, bike riding, baking, outdoor adventures and spending time with her friends and family; Husband- Anthony Powell, sons, Riley and Liam.
